Sens forward Mike Fisher and country superstar Carrie Underwood plan to tie the knot in July, according to a media report.

The Ottawa Citizen reported Wednesday that the couple will get married mid-summer, although no other details have been released.

A representative for Fisher has also dismissed suggestions the couple has been squabbling over details of their wedding plans.

Fisher and Underwood are in the midst of building a home in West Carleton, minutes from Scotiabank Place. Construction on the 5,000-square foot home is expected to begin this summer.

Fisher popped the question to the famed singer days before Christmas. The pair reportedly met after Underwood performed at a concert in Ottawa in March 2008.

Underwood is currently on her North American tour, which wraps up in December.

She recently brought home two CMT music awards for video of the year and CMT performance of the year. She also made history this year by winning the entertainer of the year for the second time at the Academy of Country Music Awards.

Underwood shot to stardom when she won the fourth season of American Idol in 2005. She has sold more than 11 million albums.
