A fireplace fire that spun out of control left three people homeless on Sunday. Firefighters evacuated the residents from their two-storey house at 2881 Huntley Road, near Richmond. The cause remains under investigation.
Fifty firefighters and 20 trucks responded to the blaze, which started around 8 a.m. Sunday. No injuries happened as a result of the fire.
The estimated damage was $300,000.
