Ottawa police say arson could be the cause of a fire that temporarily evacuated a hotel in the Byward Market Sunday night.
The fire broke out at Les Suites Hotel early Sunday evening, filling some of the halls and stairwells with smoke.
Investigators say the blaze started in one of those stairwells, where it appears someone lit clothing on fire.
Hotel guests were able to return to their rooms later that night. No injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
