Officials are still trying to determine what caused a basement fire at 1914 Elmridge on Saturday, leaving four people out of a place to sleep at their house. It caused $100,000 in damage.
A dozen vehicles and 28 firefighters responded to the Beacon Hill-area fire in Ottawa's east end when it broke out at 1:45 p.m., getting it under control by 2:15 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
