Wine of the week - ThirtyProduced by winemaker, Emma Garner, Winemaker's Blend is a medium-plus-bodied Bordeaux blend from the Niagara Escarpment wine region. Over half of the wine is in Cabernet Sauvignon with Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The 2016 vintage is intense with layers of black cherry, black currant, earthy florals and smoky oak spice. Emma Garner took home Winemaker of the Year honours at the 2015 Ontario Wine Awards. Pair with lamb stew.

Wine of the week - bonAbsolutely superb sparkling wine from South Africa made in the classic Champagne method of the second fermentation in the bottle. This rosé is beautifully fragranced with small field berries and strawberries. This winery is located between the Breede River and Langeberg mountains in the Robertson region. The Bon Courage Wine Estate, owned by the Bruwer family for three generations, produced this bubbly made form 100% Pinot Noir grapes. It's named for the family's French Huguenot ancestors, the Bruéres, who came from the Loire Valley. Pair with seafood and field greens.
