Le Clos Jordanne Claystone Terrace Pinot Noir 2011
Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario V.Q.A.
The Claystone Terrace is consistently my favourite Pinot Noir from Le Clos Jordanne, year after year. Its exuberant energy and power come from a complex weave of nuances: truffles, black cherry, violets, cedar box and dark spices. Brooding and temperamental: love it! Superb craftsmanship. Finishes with spice, cedar and vanilla. Try it with game meats.
