Flat Rock Cellars Nadja's Vineyard Riesling 2015

Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada

This lovely off-dry Niagara Riesling is bursting with aromas of fresh citrus, lime and green apple. two weeks later than the parcel below the winery. Remarkable, even though there are 18 grams of sugar in this wine, the acidity balances it perfectly, yielding only a slight impression of sweetness. Terrific mouth-watering acidity for seafood and salads.

Benjamin Bridge Nova 7 2014

Gaspereau Valley, Nova Scotia, Canada

This is such a gorgeous wine! Every time I taste it, it's like coming back to an old friend whose intelligence and wit I admire, but more importantly, just feels so comfortable. Honeysuckle, honey dew and melon yet not cloyingly sweet. This lovely wine is actually refreshing with its slight effervescence. I'm selfishly not wanting to this with anything and just drink it on it's own before or after a meal (or instead of one). But if you insist: berry cobbler or a fruit flan. Happy? I am.
