A beautiful Montepulciano D'abruzzo vibrant with grippy tannins. Full-bodied and earthy with layers of ripe red berry, dark berry fruit, dark chocolate flavours with a lingering smoky and spicy finish. The wine was aged 24 months in Slavonian oak barrels. The wine was first produced in 1997, by Carlo and Adriano Spinelli. Tatone is the local word for "grandfather," and the name given to the wine because it reflected the strength and authority of their grandfather. Pair with bison burgers.
