An Ottawa man appeared in court Wednesday afternoon to face charges in the stabbing death of his son in an  Orléans apartment on Tuesday.

John McRae, 70, was charged with second-degree murder.

Police were called to the apartment on Notre Dame Street around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday evening and found a 51-year-old man with stab wounds. He was rushed to hospital but died of his injuries.
