An early morning fire in the Laurentian Valley has claimed the life of one person.
Ontario Provincial Police, along with the City of Pembroke and Laurentian Valley Fire Departments, responded to a call reporting a house fire around 1:10 a.m. Monday, January 26th.
The residence on Mud Lake Road in the Laurentian Valley was engulfed in flames by the time emergency vehicles arrived. One person was found dead inside the home.
The OPP Forensic Identification Unit as well as the Ontario Fire Marshalls Office is on scene investigating.
