A 51-year-old male is dead following a crash on Highway 17 east of Pembroke.
Emergency crews were called the scene of the head-on collision near Greenwood Rd. shortly before 2pm.
The man, a passenger in an SUV, was pronounced dead on scene.
Two others, a 19-year-old woman who had been driving the SUV, and the 33-year-old male driver of a pick-up truck, were hurt. Police say the woman's injuries were critical. She was airlifted to hospital. .
Highway 17 is closed in both directions betweenn Greenwood Road and Whitewater Rd. Detours are in place.
