One person is dead after a multi-vehicle collision involving two tractor trailers shut down parts of Highway 17 in Arnprior Wednesday afternoon.
Police say four vehicles were involved in the crash which happened near Campbell Drive at about 3 p.m.
Police say all four of the vehicles were heading eastbound on the highway when one of the vehicles was rear-ended in a construction zone.
One person was pronounced dead. The victim's identity has not been released.
Police say the highway will likely be closed for several hours.
Meantime, detours have been set up on Highway 17 at Sheel Drive and White Lake Road.
