The children of a Belleville man who's been missing for one year made an emotional appeal to the public for any information that could help police find their father.

Calvin Vanness, 66, was last heard from on March 26, 2008, when he told his family he was travelling to Arden, Ont. to visit his brother.

Vanness, who has a serious medical condition that requires daily medication, never made it to Arden. His car was found in a Kingston parking lot five days later.

Belleville police have not ruled out foul play in connection with his disappearance and have offered a $10,000 reward for information that would help solve the case.

Vanness is described as a balding white man who is about five feet eight inches tall, 180 pounds and wears glasses.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Belleville police at 613-966-0882 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
