Family and friends will say their final goodbyes this weekend to a Belleville woman who was killed when she went missing from her home two weeks ago.

Jessica Lloyd, 27, will be remembered at a funeral Saturday afternoon at the John R. Bush Funeral Home at 80 Highland Ave. in Belleville at 1 p.m.

Police say a large number of people are expected to attend the funeral, and parking in the area will be limited.

Those wishing to attend the service are advised to park at the Quinte Bay Gymnastic Club at the corner of Sidney Street and Bridge Street West. Buses will transport mourners to the funeral home starting at noon.

Lloyd's body was found in a wooded area south of Belleville on Monday. The Globe and Mail reported that the suspect charged with her murder led investigators to the site.

Col. Russell Williams is facing first-degree murder charges in connection with her death. He is also charged with the murder of Cpl. Marie-France Comeau, who worked at CFB Trenton, where Williams was the commanding officer.

In addition to the murder charges, Williams is also charged with the sexual assault and forcible confinement of two women in Tweed.

Lloyd was reported missing on Jan. 29 after she did not show up for work. She was last heard from when she sent a friend a text message the previous night.
