Children under the age of 12 can get in for free at the SuperEX when accompanied by a parent or adult on Tuesday.

This year's SuperEX features 60 rides, hundreds of exhibits and shows, a major poker tournament, along with the second annual Capital Magic Festival.

CTV Ottawa stopped by the midway to find out what some kids had to say about the amusement park:

"The rides are pretty fun. You can come with all your friends, so it's fun."

"My favorite part is winning the toys."

"I like it because you've got a ton of great rides, you can never get bored, tons of games. I actually won something pretty big last year so you know it's a great place for friends to hang out."

"My favorite rides is the silver streak, the drop, the zipper and the merry-go-round because they're so much fun and me and my cousin love to go on them."

"It's fun going on rides because they're excellent and then the food is good over here and it's awesome playing games and yeah it's just fun."

SuperEX, which has been a fixture in Ottawa for more than 100 years, runs from Aug. 14-24 at Lansdowne Park. Admission passes cost $12 for adults and $7 for kids under 12. The ride-all-day pass is $35.
