A little rain? No problem for families!

After the Easter bunny brought sunshine and warm temperatures on Sunday, the rain moved in on Easter Monday. However, that didn't stop kids and families from enjoying lots of activities across the city.

At the Canada Agriculture and Food museum, all the babies were the centre of attention. 8-year-old Ines Kristal-Polci was shown a picture on Twitter by her mom of the new baby lambs and she had to see them for herself.

"They're just really fuzzy and they're small and cute," she says.

Baby lambs, goats, bunnies, ducklings and chicks were all there for people to see. It's a sure sign spring is on the way.

"They're newborn and it's like a new life," says a little girl.

The museum welcomed two kids, or baby goats, on Saturday when their mom gave birth with people all around. With the nice weather on Sunday, officials say there were close to 4,000 people who passed through the gates.

The Arena at TD Place was also a busy spot.

The Ottawa 67s were taking on the Niagar Ice Dogs in game three of their first round OHL playoff series. Kids played on bouncy castles and practiced their shot.

When one boy was asked what his favourite part was, he responded "to watch all the best players, watch them score, and drink a lot of Fanta!"

The rain didn't keep people away from the Ottawa Mission. A long line of people waited to have the annual Easter dinner.

Over 2,400 pounds of roast beef was served, along with 3,000 baked potatoes. It's a special moment for a lot of people.

"It's so much more than just an Easter meal," says Mission executive director Peter Tilley.

"It's a sense of community, a sense of belonging at Easter and this becomes everyone's family by extension."

The Mission served over 2,700 meals, a bit of a surprising number considering the rainy weather.
