MADOC, Ont - A man is dead after he was crushed by a falling tree north of Belleville, Ont.
Provincial police say 59-year-old Jim Morison of Madoc was killed Saturday while trying to cut down a tree with his family.
They say he was clearing the surrounding brush when the tree toppled on him.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
