Ottawa police are asking for help from the public after 55 explosive "boosters" were stolen from Fourth Line Road overnight on Oct. 1.

The devices went missing from the 6900 block of that road during a break-in. Police say each device is inside a lime-green cylinder that's about 13 centimetres long and five centimetres in diameter. Each cylinder has black letters on the side that read "Accurate" and "Danger Explosive".

The investigation is continuing in conjunction with the Ministry of Natural Resources' explosives regulatory division.

Anyone who comes across these cylinders should not touch them, police say. Those with information should contact Ottawa police at 613-236-1222, ext. 2266 or Crime Stoppers at 613-233-TIPS.
