A 24-year-old Ottawa man is facing explosives charges after dangerous materials were taken out of a west-end home on Thursday.
Ottawa police said Dane Bridges is facing one count of possession of an explosive and one count of mischief after a lengthy investigation on Arbordale Crescent which started Wednesday.
The road was closed and some homes evacuated on Thursday until police removed the material in question.
It was taken to the Central Experimental Farm to be destroyed that night.
Police say they have no reason to believe there are any more safety concerns for the public.
