OTTAWA -- Here’s a look at the events cancelled and postponed in Ottawa, eastern Ontario and western Quebec due to concerns about COVID-19.
Wesley Clover Parks
Wesley Clover Parks has announced all events in May are cancelled, including the "Ottawa Welcome,"
A decision on the rest of the calendar will be announced at a later date.
Archdiocese of Ottawa
The Archdiocese of Ottawa has cancelled all Masses from March 15 to April 5.
Diocese of Ottawa
Sunday masses at Anglican churches in Ottawa and across Ontario are cancelled until further notice
Parkdale United Church
Parkdale United Church is closed until further notice.
Ontario Public Schools
The Ontario Government says all publicly funded elementary and secondary schools will be closed for two weeks following March Break.
Schools will be closed to students from Saturday, March 14 to Sunday, April 5.
Ottawa Carleton District School Board
The OCDSB says it will not be running child care services and programs from March 14 to April 5. That includes March Break programs.
Child care programs operated by third-parties will also not be operating during this time.
Quebec schools
The Quebec government says all daycares, schools, CEGEPS and universities in the province will be closed for at least two weeks.
National Museums
All national museums in the national capital region will be closed effective Saturday, March 14 until further notice.
The following museums are closed:
- Canadian Museum of History
- Canadian War Museum
- The Canadian Museum of Nature
- The National Gallery of Canada
- Canada Science and Technology Museum
- Canada Agriculture and Food Museum
- Canada Aviation and Space Museum
The Diefenbunker
The Diefenbunker: Canada's Cold War Museum is closed until further notice.
Ottawa Art Gallery
The Ottawa Art Gallery is closed from Saturday, March 14 to Sunday, April 5.
The closure includes Jackson Cafe and Restaurant, the OAG shop and Galerie Annexe. All events and rentals will also be cancelled and/or rescheduled to a later date.
Ottawa Farmers Market
The Ottawa Farmers Market will be closed starting Sunday, March 22nd until at least April 5. The move comes as the City of Ottawa closes municipal facilities.
Ottawa Gatineau International Auto Show
The Ottawa Gatineau International Auto Show is being postponed. It was scheduled to begin Thursday.
A future date has not yet been announced.
Organizers say they will provide updates via email, social media, and their website to ticketholders, partners, and exhibitors.
Sensplex
All Sensplex facilities (Bell Sensplex, Cavanagh Sensplex and Richcraft Sensplex) will be closed from Monday, March 16 to April 4.
House of Commons tours
All public tours of the House of Commons have been cancelled until April 20.
The Senate has also cancelled all guided tours.
National Arts Centre
The National Arts Centre has suspended building operations and closing the building to the public until further notice.
The National Arts Centre has cancelled all performances and events at the National Arts Centre until Sunday, April 5.
Hard Rock Ottawa
OLG has announced all casinos in Ontario, including Hard Rock Ottawa on Albion Road, will be closed until further notice
Casino Lac Leamy
Loto-Quebec has closed all casinos in Quebec, including Casino Lac Leamy, until further notice
Ottawa Senators games
The NHL has announced it will "pause the 2019-20 season" beginning with the games on Thursday, March 12.
The Senators next scheduled home game was Wednesday, March 18 against Edmonton.
Ottawa 67's - all regular season games
The Ontario Hockey League has suspended the remainder of the regular season and playoffs.
The Ottawa 67's say fans with tickets to the three remaining regular season home games and the first round of the OHL playoffs will be contacted directly.
Minor hockey league games
The Ontario Minor Hockey Association says all minor league hockey games in Ottawa and eastern Ontario are cancelled until further notice.
Canadian Tire Centre
Canadian Tire Centre says all events have been postponed until further notice.

March 19 - The Kane Brown show scheduled for Thursday, March 19 has been postponed until Thursday, August 27. Tickets for the original show will be honoured for the new date
March 20 – Pearl Jam’s concert at Canadian Tire Centre has been postponed
Harlem Globetrotters has been postponed
James Taylor has been postponed
Canadian Central Hockey League
The Canadian Central Hockey League has suspended playoff games until further notice.
Carleton University
All face-to-face classes will be cancelled March 16 and March 17. Online classes will begin on March 18.

University of Ottawa
All face-to-face classes will be cancelled March 16 and March 17. Online classes will begin on March 18.
Here's a look at other events cancelled at the University of Ottawa:
- The Open House for prospective undergraduate students on March 21 has been cancelled.
- All uOttawa March Break camps have been cancelled.
Algonquin College
Algonquin College has announced all face-to-face classes and labs will be suspended from March 16 to March 22. When classes resume on Monday, March 23, many will be delivered online.

La Cite college
La Cite says all courses are suspended for the week of March 16-20. The school will remain open.
Queen's University in Kingston
Queen's University in Kingston has suspended all undergraduate classes (excluding health professional programs) for one week, starting on Monday, March 16. Principal Patrick Deane says the university will communicate plans for alternative delivery at the end of the one-week class suspension.
Camp Fortune
Camp Fortune has announced it will suspend all of its activities as of the end of day, March 15.
Calabogie Peaks Resort
Calabogie Peaks Resort says Monday, March 16th is the final day of the season.
Mont Ste-Marie
Mont Ste-Marie has closed for the season. The Premier of Quebec asked ski areas to suspend operations until further notice.
Mont Ste-Marie is located in Lac Sainte-Marie, an hour outside of Ottawa
Dovercourt Recreation Association
The Dovercourt Recreation Association has cancelled all programming, including Bluesfest School of Music and Art, WAVE, Van Lang Field House, and McKellar Park Field House.
March Break camps and After School programs are cancelled, along with classes, rentals and other facility use.
All programming is cancelled from Monday, March 16 to Sunday, April 5.
Great Canadian Theatre Company
The Great Canadian Theatre Company says it will close operations until April 5.
The GCTC says it's planning for Daisy, which opened March 12, to re-open on April 7 for a two week extended run.
RCMP Musical Ride Visitor Centre
The RCMP Musical Ride Visitor Centre is closed and tours suspended for 30 days. The situation will be re-assessed on April 14.
Aquatarium in Brockville
The Aquatarium in Brockville is closed until further notice.
613Flea - March 21
The March 21 613Flea at Lansdowne Park has been cancelled. Updates on future 613Flea markets will be announced shortly.
Vegan Food Festival – April 26
The Vegan Food Festival at Lansdowne Park has been postponed.
In a statement on Instagram, Little Jo Berry’s says “obviously this is real sad news but we think it’s really important to be mindful of the safety of our community and staff."
Cirque du Soleil
Cirque du Soleil has announced the cancellation of “Crystal” July 1 to 5 at Canadian Tire Centre.
In a statement, Cirque du Soleil says taking into account the recommendations of the World Health Organization and the push for social distancing, it has cancelled the performances of Crystal in Ottawa.
Ticket holders will be contacted for reimbursement.
Boy Scouts and Girl Guides
Scouts Canada says the following restrictions are in place until April 5:
- All Section programs across Canada are to cease, including regular meetings, outdoor adventures, tours/visits and camps.
- All Scouts Canada events and activities such as Scouter Cons, Kub Kar Rallies, training, and any/all Scouter meetings will be suspended or postponed.
- All Scout Properties will be closed and associated events cancelled or postponed.
- All March break camps have been cancelled.
- All Scout Shops will be closed; Scoutshop.ca will remain available.
- All Scouts Canada offices will be closed and employees asked to work remotely; offices will be available as-needed for essential work.
- All non-essential Scouting-related travel will be cancelled.
Girl Guides of Canada says all in-person activities are cancelled until April 14. There will be no unit meetings, sleepovers, camps, cookie selling, travel, trainings, Trefoil Guild / Link activities, or any other in-person Girl Guide activities during this period.
