A murder convict remains on the loose almost one week after he escaped from a minimum security prison in Kingston, Ont.
Ontario provincial police say Andrew Wood, 42, escaped from the Frontenac Institution on Bath Road sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Police are now investigating tips from across eastern and central Ontario regarding his whereabouts.
Wood was serving a life-sentence for second-degree murder when he escaped from the prison.
The Toronto man was convicted of killing Robert Ryan Glenn, 21, who died from a gunshot wound to the head more than 20 years ago.
Anyone who may have seen Wood or has information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the nearest police station immediately.
