A kayaker is okay after being rescued from the Ottawa River.
Ottawa Fire received a 911 call around 7 p.m. reporting someone was screaming for help near Bate Island. A man out kayaking had capsized.
The Ottawa Fire water rescue team was able to rescue the man, while Gatineau Fire’s water rescue team recovered the man’s kayak.
