An 81-year-old woman was killed Wednesday in a head-on collision on Highway 31 near Winchester, about 50 kilometres southeast of Ottawa.

Ontario Provincial Police say Penelope Glenn, from South Dundas Township, lost control of her vehicle and crossed the centre line at about 4:30 p.m. Her vehicle collided with a pick-up truck and then rolled.

Glenn was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver of the truck, Ronald Spong, was taken to hospital with not life-threatening injuries.
