An elderly woman is dead after she was struck by a vehicle in west Ottawa.
The crash happened in the eastbound lane of Carling Ave. at about 3:50p.m.
Ottawa Paramedics say the woman suffered critical injuries and later died in hospital.
Carling Ave. from Edgeworth to the Sir John A Macdonald Parkway has re-opened.
Police continue to investigate.
