UNITED TOWNSHIPS OF HEAD, CLARA AND MARIA, Ont. -- Police say an elderly woman has died after her car struck a tractor-trailer northwest of Pembroke, Ont.
Provincial police say her car was travelling westbound on Highway 17 (near Driftwood Provincial Park) when it struck the eastbound truck around 11 a.m. Monday in the United Townships of Head, Clara and Maria.
They say 84-year-old Jeannine Lavigne-Vaillancourt, of North Bay, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say four vehicles collided during the crash.
There's no word on any injuries.
Traffic collision officials are assisting the investigation.
