Ottawa police are investigating a robbery at a Petro Canada in Ottawa's east end.

It happened just before 1 a.m. at a Petro in the 1600 block of Tenth Line Road.

Police say a man pushed past a worker, grabbed several cartons of cigarettes, threw them into a black garbage bag and took off.

He was last seen headed towards the Ray Friel Centre on Tenth Line.

Police say no one was injured and no weapon was used.

The suspect is described as white, about 5'6" with a heavy build. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a black hoodie.
