Two people are displaced after a fire in Ottawa’s east end Sunday morning.

Ottawa fire crews were called to the home on Verchere Street just after 11 a.m. Officials say the fire started in the garage and that it was destroyed, along with a vehicle parked inside.

The heat from the flames also damaged a neighbouring home.

Total damage is estimated at $400,000.

The cause is under investigation but fire officials say it is not considered suspicious.
