A home in Russell just south of Ottawa was completely destroyed in an early morning blaze Monday.
The Russell Fire Department arrived at the Groves Road home at about 3:30 a.m. A male resident suffered minor injuries due to smoke inhalation. He was sent to Winchester Hospital for treatment.
Last summer, there were close to 20 suspicious barn fires in the Winchester area. Many were found to be deliberately set.
