Ottawa police charged two Embrun women after allegations of fraudulent activities at an eastern Ontario nursing home.
Police allege 46-year-old Mary Talbot-Brisson and 22-year-old Mary Brisson worked together to take advantage of seniors at the Cumberland Lodge.
Talbot-Brisson faces 25 charges after allegations she spent more than a decade defrauding more than 50 residents out of half a million dollars. It is also alleged she misrepresented herself as a registered nurse to be hired.
The younger Brisson is charged with breach of trust, theft under $5,000, and fraud under $5,000 among other offences.
Both women will appear in court Friday.
