Drug investigation leads to charges and weapon seizures
Ottawa police have charged six people after a drug investigation in Ottawa's west end.
Police say two search warrants were executed at around 4:40 p.m. Wednesday. It allowed officers to enter and search a home on Draper Avenue and one on Pinecrest Road.
The search resulted in police finding two guns, a bullet proof vest, a crossbow, and thousands of dollars worth of drugs. Police say crack cocaine, oxycontin and methadone were some of the drugs seized. They also seized $1600 in cash.
The following people face several charges related to drug trafficking:
- 24-year-old Frederick Destin
- 27-year-old Christopher Destin
- 30-year-old Fabien Dennery
- 21-year-old Samantha Burton
- 21-year-old Amanda Poirier
- 19-year-old Peter Donkoh
All of the accused are from Ottawa.
