More than two dozen employees at a tech manufacturing plant in Cornwall, Ont. are temporarily losing their jobs.
Advantech Advanced Manufacturing Services -- a company that makes satellite and wireless telecommunications products -- says the layoffs come as the company experiences a drop in its workload.
A spokesperson, however, says the laid off employees might not be without work for long. Advantech is working on some new products, which the spokesperson says could allow the company to rehire the workers.
