Provincial police have charged a Cornwall-area doctor and a medical clinic owner with fraud after the pair allegedly billed the Ontario government for services that were never provided.

Police say Dr. Brian Connolly, 52, and Lori MacDonald, 36, fraudulently billed the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care for approximately $114,000.

Connolly and MacDonald are both charged for fraud over $5,000.

The OPP's health fraud investigation unit says the charges come after an eight-month investigation into events that took place between April 2005 and September 2008.
