The victim was a passenger in a pickup truck that overturned about 110 kilometres north of Syracuse, N.Y. Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012.
Authorities say a 66-year-old Ontario man died when the pickup truck he was riding in crashed and overturned on an upstate New York highway.
Police say 64-year-old Linda Maracle was driving north on Interstate 81 late Tuesday night when she lost control of the vehicle, causing it to hit a guardrail and overturn in the town of Pamelia, about 110 kilometres north of Syracuse.
Her passenger, 66-year-old Ross Maracle of Deseronto, Ont., was ejected from the truck. He was flown to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, where he later died from his injuries.
Linda Maracle was taken to Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown with non-life-threatening injuries.
