Inglis, an independent businessman, is well known for his efforts to close the Cook Road dump in North Aylmer and prevent a golf course in Leamy Lake Park.
He is a former Hull-Aylmer Liberal riding executive and has also worked to promote local cycling trails.
Inglis lives in Gatineau and is married with four daughters and three granddaughters. He was born in Winnipeg in 1951.
