A dairy farm between Douglas and Renfrew was destroyed Sunday afternoon by fire.

It started at the Enright Dairy Farm located near Cheese Factory Road at 12:40 p.m. and quickly spread requiring the help of three fire departments to get it under the control.

The fire left some of the 135 cattle dead and others stranded in the field with no where to go. The silos at the Enright Dairy Farm are also at risk of toppling over because they are so heavily damaged.

There is no word as to how the fire started or the estimated cost of the damage.
