Cornwall elementary school student charged with assault; allegedly slapped teacher

CORNWALL, Ont. -- A Cornwall, Ont., elementary school student is facing charges after a teacher was slapped.

Police allege the student struck the teacher on the forearm Monday afternoon at school.

Investigators say it was apparently not the first time the teacher had been hit by the student.

The youth faces multiple charges including assault.
