More than 100 workers in Cornwall are starting the new year on a temporary layoff.
About 125 employees who work at the Satisfied Brake plant were told the business will shut down until further notice, pending the outcome of a lawsuit filed in the United States by a competitor.
The competing company, BPI, won an injunction in December that orders Satisfied Brake to cease operations on most of its products. The Cornwall company has appealed the injunction.
