Negotiators for Ottawa and its fire services can't see eye to eye.
Contract talks are reported to have reached an impasse, and outstanding issues have been sent to arbitration.
That will get underway in October.
Out of the $140 million fire services budget, $128 million is spent on salaries and benefits.
