The Ministry of Labour has been called in to investigate after a 19-year-old construction worker was killed when he was pinned between the bucket of a bulldozer and the large counter-weights of a crane while working at a job site in Kanata.
The incident happened at a residential development located near the intersection of Kanata Avenue and Keyrock Drive just before 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Although paramedics tried to resuscitate the young worker, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Paramedics say the victim was too badly crushed.
The victim's name has not been released.
