Thousands of commuters faced major, city-wide bus delays Tuesday morning due to a new “temporary configuration” of Hurdman station.

The City of Ottawa issued the following statement regarding the delays:
“The new temporary configuration of the Hurdman Transitway station presented operational challenges to transit services this morning. While service city wide was running well, bus volume at Hurdman Station did not move as planned causing significant delays city wide. We apologize for the delays to our customers. Transit Services along with traffic management and the Rail Implementation Office are looking at solutions to improve this situation.”
