Driver facing charges following three-vehicle collision involving a police cruiser in Ottawa's south end

A 28-year-old Ottawa man is facing charges under the Highway Traffic Act following a three-vehicle crash involving an Ottawa Police Service cruiser in Ottawa's south end.
Emergency crews responded to the collision on Bank Street at Johnston Road just after 5 p.m. on Saturday.
CTV News Ottawa photos at the scene showed a badly damaged police SUV with the airbag deployed. A vehicle was also on the sidewalk with damage.
Police say two officers in the cruiser and one of the other drivers were treated for minor injuries.
An Ottawa Paramedic Service spokesperson told CTV News Ottawa one person was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Police told CTV News Ottawa on Monday the driver of one of the vehicles is facing charges under the Highway Traffic Act of driving a motor vehicle without a licence and "turning left, failing to afford reasonable opportunity to avoid a collision."
