Ottawa Police have laid charges in relation to the video of a woman texting and driving that went viral earlier this week.

Police say they met with the woman in the video Thursday morning and that three charges have been laid, including distracted driving and careless driving.

Police say the motorcyclist who took the video won’t be charged.

In the video, the motorcyclist confronts the driver for being on her cell phone while in the car. After the motorcyclist races ahead, the car narrowly passes him on the right, and then he pursues her to a quieter street to confront her.

The video went viral after being broadcast on CTV over the weekend, garnering more than a million views on Facebook alone.
