Ottawa police have charged 36-year-old Adam McDougall of Ottawa with attempted robbery after a store was robbed on Richmond Road.
McDougall is accused of robbing the store at knifepoint around 7 o'clock Tuesday night.
The suspect fled on foot after leaving with cash and merchandise.
Police say McDougall was stopped nearby while driving under the influence of alcohol and taken into police custody.
McDougall appears in court Wednesday.
