A Lanark-area man is charged with fraud after several people looking to buy iPods and Wiis on the online selling board Kijiji paid for the products and didn't get anything back.

Christopher David Finnson, 35, is charged with eight counts of fraud under $5,000 and one count of mischief.

An investigation began after several people sent e-mail payments to a person on Kijiji claiming to sell used electronic items, say the Ontario Provincial Police. Once the money was sent, the temporary e-mail address would no longer work and the items would never appear in the buyer's mailbox.

Finnson is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 30.
