A 19-year-old west Ottawa man is charged with assault following an altercation between a cross-country skier and a snowmobiler on a ski trail at Constance Bay.
Police say the skier was allegedly assaulted by a snowmobiler while using a combined recreational trail in the area on Jan. 24.
The snowmobiler allegedly knocked down the skier, and then fled on his machine.
Police interviewed witnesses and subsequently charged Colin Cox, of Carp, with assault.
