A 52-year-old Canada Post worker is recovering from minor injuries after she was struck by a car at a picket line in Ottawa Tuesday morning.

Paramedics say the incident happened just before 7 a.m. when a car allegedly rushed the picket line, injuring the female protestor.

The woman suffered injuries to her arm and hip. Police are now investigating.

Canada Post administrative and technical workers across the country walked off the job Monday after rejecting a final offer from their employer late last week.
