Nearly 500 Ottawa students performed at the National Arts Centre today for Music Monday.
The tenth annual event promotes music education in schools. Similar concerts were held in nine other Canadian cities, and were video linked. Canadian astronaut, Chris Hadfield, took part in the event in Edmonton.
The children sang a song that was co-written by Hadfield, who says that learning music played a major role in his career success.
