Calypso Waterpark, Canada's largest waterpark located just outside of Ottawa, is adding 10 new waterslides to its array of cool-down activities.
After the additions, Calypso will boast North America's tallest free-standing waterslide tower at 90 feet high. Other slides will feature high speeds, steep drops and a circle loop.
The upgrades are expected to cost $5 million.
Calypso opened last summer to capacity crowds that often snarled traffic on Highway 417 as Ottawans tried to beat the heat in a summer marked by record high temperatures.
