Gatineau Police say a city bus and a garbage truck collided Thursday morning at the corner of Montcalm and Wellington.

The truck came to rest against the nearby Vice Versa furniture store.

The driver suffered minor injuries.

The operator of the bus was also treated for minor injuries.

Police issued a $100 fine and knocked two demerit points to the driver of the garbage truck.

Police say there were no passengers on the bus.

The crash closed Montcalm Street for several hours Thursday morning.

STO buses have been involved in seven collisions over the last three weeks.

Most of them involved mishaps on the recently opened RapidBus corridor which has drivers confused with new signals.
