The hotels are fully booked as the City of Brockville braces for huge crowds to greet the world's largest duck starting this Thursday.
The Rails to Trails festival will feature the duck on Blockhouse Island with a spectacular view of the St. Lawrence River.
The six-storey- tall duck takes a crane, eight workers and eight hours to get afloat.
The city of Brockville's Manager of Strategic Initiatives, Lesley White, says the entire region is ready for the giant duck's visit.
'We expect to have a least 30 thousand people in our city, maybe more considering what we heard from the festivals before us', said White.
White was meeting with the giant duck's owner today to sort out logistics.
" Canadians have really embraced the duck. The controversy of the duck created a lot of media for us. We were on the cover of the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal", said owner Craig Samborski.
The Ontario government supported the duck with a $120 thousand festival grant.
Brockville is the last stop on the six festival duck tour.
